Our house is haunted!!

Our house is haunted.  Yep.  No joke.  Haunted.  
 As kids growing up, my Mom would sometimes tell my younger brother Craig and I about the haunted house she lived in as a child. As I recall, the house had an apparition that would make annoying noises, move things, and do some stuff that would be pretty scary to most. So, we grew up believing haunting is possible.  (Never doubt your Mom, kids.  Never). So, when, as a strapping young man of 24 I moved to Rossville, and into a home built in the 1860’s, I was not frightened, or even much surprised, when I began to hear odd noises, see weird stuff, get funny feelings.
Yep.  Our home is haunted. Not as scary as the stuff Mom always told us about, but still haunted.  I can be the only one at home, and hear- very clearly- heavy furniture being dragged on the wood floors over my head upstairs.  Even if the room is carpeted.  This has happened hundreds of times in the past 2 plus decades.  We have all seen something heading up the stairs out of the corner of our eye several of times. When my TV room used to be at the top of the stairway, I used to hear heavy boots dragging and clumping up the wooden stairs behind me almost every day.  Nobody was ever on the stairs, and I am the only one in the house with heavy feet, much less heavy boots. They say dogs have an incredible ability to see spirits.  Our German Shepherd and the Akita we had later used to guard that stairway incessantly, staring up the stairs, and growling or barking, even though no human or animal was up there.  No, I have never seen floating objects, nor have I seen a full blown ghost or heard voices.  To me, none of that matters, my house is haunted and you can’t convince me otherwise. 
I have been accused of being crazy in the past, but I assure you, I am not.  And, I am aware that a few of the Christian persuasion would say that there are no such things as ghosts, based on their interpretation of the Bible. But,  I can’t deny what I know, or what I hear, as being real.  Do I believe I can see ghosts? I believe it is possible for any of us to see ghosts if they want to be seen. Do I see ghosts?  Nope.  Do I believe in ghosts?  You bet.
